Stock engine rebuilt at Active Engines

Engine Rebuilding Process

A stock engine rebuild includes the following:

Engine block Degreasing, Magnafluxing, aligning, boring and honing.
Cylinder heads Degreasing, Magnafluxing, fitted with new valve guides, valve seats are refaced, deck surface is machined flat, spring pressures are set to manufacturer specifications
Connecting rods Rods are degreased, big end housing is resized, pin bushings are replaced.
Crankshaft The crankshaft is degreased, checked for size and straightness, and if necessary, ground to the next undersize
Assembly The engine is then meticulously assembled, double checking all the running clearances.
Parts The following parts are replaced on every rebuild: pistons, rings, cam, rod, main bearings, all timing components, oil pump, camshaft, lifters, gaskets, seals, valves, pushrods. Rocker arms are inspected and replaced if necessary.

  1. Is the body of the vehicle in good condition?
